What’s the Project? This simple caramel popcorn recipe will have you grabbing handful after handful. It’s soft, chewy and sweet and it’s easy to make. A perfect dessert for any occasion because it’s so yummy.

I have a few major weaknesses in life and caramel popcorn is definitely one of them.

I love anything that’s super chewy and super sweet, meaning this caramel popcorn recipe is perfect because it’s both of those things.

I love the chewy, sweet goodness and when it’s in my house I can’t stop eating it! It’s just so good! Here is a very easy, yummy caramel corn recipe for you! I hope you love it as much as I do!

Caramel Popcorn Recipe-This caramel corn will have you grabbing it by the handful-it's SO good! Easy to make, soft and chewy-it's perfection. #dessert #dessertrecipe #caramelcorn #popcorn

Make a batch of this and grab a great movie and you’ve got a great evening ahead of you!

My kids love it too. In fact, I had to keep their little hands away while I took the pictures.

How to make caramel corn

And, here’s a really cute gift idea that you can make with this caramel corn. We’re sharing it today over on my new blog (that I do with my friend), Fun-Squared. How cute is this?

And we’ve got a cute gift tag to go with it. Check it out here!

Now let’s grab this fun caramel popcorn recipe so you can make it.

Caramel Corn Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 bags of cooked microwave popcorn
  • 2 sticks of butter (1 Cup)
  • 1/2 C light Karo syrup
  • 1 1/3 C sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Caramel Popcorn Instructions:

Cook your popcorn. Try to remove as many un-popped kernels as possible. Set this aside in a large bowl.

On the stove in a small pan, mix your other 4 ingredients over medium high heat until it boils. Boil for 1 and a half minutes.

Pour this over your popcorn and mix and mix until it’s all coated. It will take a decent amount of mixing to get it like that.

Let it sit for a couple of hours before eating for best results!

Enjoy! Now, what movie are you going to watch while you eat it?

I make caramel corn every Christmas for friends and family. This past Christmas I made 28 large bags. My recipe is not like yours I use brown sugar, less butter (corn already butter) and less syrup. don’t know how many people told me to sell it at our local farmer’s market during the holidays I’d become a millionaire! I don’t think so, LOL. It is an additive treat for sure.

This looks delicious. How many cups of popped popcorn do you use to make this? I’m not familiar with how much popcorn would be in two bags of microwave popcorn. Thanks.
