Frequently Asked Questions

Hi friends! There are a few questions that I get asked a lot, so I thought it might be nice to put the answers all in one place. Here you go!

Can I use your image?

You are welcome to use an image from my site IF (and only IF) you only use one image and link back to my site. Please do not post my tutorials, but feel free to link back to any page on my site in a roundup.

Can I use your patterns to sell things on Etsy/at Craft Shows?

I am fine with you using my patterns to sew things that you sell at a craft show or on Etsy. You may not sell my patterns, but you may sell things made with my patterns. I am not interested in selling things myself, so all I ask is that you give credit to my blog in some way if possible (a link is ideal).

What seam allowance do you use on your patterns?

I am a very naughty sewer and don’t really pay that much attention to seam allowances when sewing. You will find that most of my patterns are for things that it won’t really matter on like bags or aprons. If it does matter to you, I typically use about a 3/8″ seam allowance. (That’s the side of my presser foot. I use that as a guide for myself while sewing.)

Where do you buy your towels for your hooded towels?

I get my towels for the hooded towels at Target. They have a lot of bright colors for a good price and they hold up very well.
