Here’s a fun Christmas card and poem that we sent to family and friends this year. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas as well!
(Written by my husband)
The snowblower lies in pieces, a wrench stuck in its guts
But snowfall just increases, I think I’m going nuts!
It’s winter now in Utah, with Christmas drawing near.
I give my students O-chem tests to spread some Christmas cheer.
Though medical or dental school attracts each lad and lass,
I stand, like Gandalf on the bridge and say. “You shall not pass!”
Meanwhile Amber blogs away on projects that are “crazy”
She sews and bakes and paints and writes; she makes me look quite lazy!
She manages to do all this while meeting the demands
Of our four boys, who sometimes think their wish is her command.
Nate is now in 5th grade where his teacher is so great
He likes to learn Greek roots of words, to draw, and to create.
Jack turned eight and got baptized, he loves “bendy cheese” and school
He loves to play with Legos, where he builds things that are cool.
Dal does round-off/back handsprings, he’s got some tumbling skills.
He likes parkour and ATVs and anything that thrills.
Adam’s nickname is “The Beast”; it’s just a bit sarcastic.
He says “fanks oo” and “o welcome”; his manners are fantastic!
So Merry Christmas to you all. The temp is falling lower!
I’d better get back to the garage and fix that dang snowblower!
