What’s the Project? These 3 flavors of holiday or Christmas muddy buddies not only taste great, they make great gifts too! Grab the recipes then package them up all cute and use these fun free tags. A great holiday gift for friends.

I love muddy buddies (or puppy chow-whatever you want to call it). Which can be a really bad thing when you are making a bunch of them and they call your name and you just want to eat them and and eat them and eat them….

Not that that’s ever happened to me.

Anyway, if you have a holiday party that you need a treat for or if you are looking for a great neighbor gift idea, these Christmas muddy buddies recipes are fabulous and with cute Christmas tags could be just the thing!

Christmas Muddy Buddies and Neighbor Gift Idea

Seriously, I’m in love! Especially with these Marshmallow snowman ones. SO good! And so cute!

Marshmallow Muddy Buddies

I made three different flavors, each with a corresponding, cute little holiday tag to go with it.

First, Marshmallow flavored with a cute Snowman tag:

And then Cinnamon and Chocolate Flavored Christmas Puppy Chow with cute Elf on them:

And a yummy Candy Cane Hot Chocolate Flavor Christmas puppy chow with a darling little Reindeer:

Ingredients

  • 9 C Rice Chex
  • 2 C white chocolate
  • 1/2 C marshmallow fluff
  • 1 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • mini marshmallows
  • white sixlets

Instructions

  • Pour your Chex in a big bowl.
  • Melt your white chocolate. This part is tricky because white chocolate can be finicky. Your best bet is probably to do it slowly on the stove. You can also microwave it, just be sure not to cook too long without stirring. Heat and mix till melted.
  • Warm the marshmallow fluff slightly (10-15 seconds in the microwave)
  • Pour your white chocolate mixture over the Chex and stir till it’s covering the Chex evenly.
  • Then add the warm marshmallow fluff and stir it in. It’s likely to be a little bit clumpy. It will still taste GREAT!
  • Sprinkle on your powdered sugar and mix till it covers the Chex.
  • Sprinkle on mini marshmallows and Sixlets and sprinkles.
