Carmel Corn and Rubbermaid Take Alongs

Who’s ready for football?!  OK, who’s ready for football food?!  Add me to that second group. I can live without the pro football (I’m more of a college football girl), but the food people have at their big game parties? Sign me up!

What’s your favorite big game party food? I can think of plenty. The appetizers, the dips, the treats. It’s all good. And every year I start to drool just thinking about all the options of football party food.

How about-to get you in the mood for all this football food-I share a quick and easy Carmel Corn recipe for starters?

This stuff’s good. I don’t make it very often because I can’t resist it when it’s in my house.

Carmel Corn Recipe:

Ingredients
  • 2 bags of microwave popcorn, popped
  • ½ C light karo syrup
  • 1⅓ C sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. Pop your corn and pour it into a large bowl
  2. Mix all of the other ingredients on the stove top
  3. Bring to a boil and let it boil for 1 and a half minutes
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Pour over the popcorn and stir it in
  6. Eat it like crazy!

Good stuff I’m telling you. Ah, but you need more don’t you?

We’ve got dips, we’ve got salsa, we’ve got trail mix and our carmel corn. And how about some football cupcakes to round things out?

But seriously, this stuff can be hard to travel with, so if you are headed off to the big game party at your friend’s house what are you going to do and how are you going to get it all there? Don’t worry. Rubbermaid’s got you covered:
