What’s the Project? This is a favorite Halloween tradition! Leave a Halloween gift or basket of treats with a cute “You’ve Been Booed” tag on the doorstep for your neighbors or friends and then let them pass on the fun! These cute Boo tags are perfect to print and use to “Boo” someone this year!

There are few things that get my kids more excited than the month of October and the fun that comes with it! The candy, the parties, the Trick or Treating—it’s hard to contain the excitement.

One way that we love to celebrate Halloween time and squeeze in even a little bit MORE fun to the month is to leave someone a fun Halloween gift and a “You’ve Been Booed” gift tag!

My kids LOVE this tradition. Is there anything more fun than hearing a knock at your door and finding a gift basket of Halloween fun on your porch and then getting to doorbell ditch someone else in return with more Halloween fun?

Seriously-Barely. Contained. Excitement.

How to “Boo” Someone:

If you’re unfamiliar with this tradition, here’s how it works.

Make cookies or other homemade treats, fill up a gift basket with Halloween things or find some sort of cute Halloween gift—it really can be anything you want and something you think the person you’re going to Boo will like.

You've Been Booed Tags to Print

Print out the You’ve Been Booed tags below. Add them to your gift basket.

Then, put the Halloween gift on the porch of the person you are Booing, ring the doorbell, and run (so they don’t know who left the gift).

They will open their front door, find the gift, and be excited.

Then, as the instructions you are leaving will tell them, it’s their turn to Boo someone else. They will need to make copies of the You’ve Been Booed tags or print new ones, then Boo someone else. This way it spreads and spreads around the whole neighborhood as people Boo each other.

(There’s also a tag that says “We’ve Been Booed” to hang in their window so that people will know that they’ve already been hit and can surprise someone else.”)

**Remember to think about people who might not always get fun surprises like this but who would really love it. It’s a great way to do something simple for someone to let them know you notice them and care.
