Do not make crib bumpers for cribs.
According to Safe Sleep for Your Baby: Reduce the Risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Other Sleep-Related Causes of Infant Death
“Keep soft objects, toys, and loose bedding out of your baby’s sleep area to reduce the risk of SIDS and other sleep-related causes of infant death. Don’t use pillows, blankets, quilts, sheepskins, or crib bumpers anywhere in your baby’s sleep area. Evidence does not support using crib bumpers to prevent injury. In fact, crib bumpers can cause serious injuries and even death. Keeping them out of baby’s sleep area is the best way to avoid these dangers.”

The next thing I want to learn to sew is something I have seen but have no idea what it is called. I have seen some super cute things where you sew strips of fabric, straight or ruffled, in lines or designs onto a base fabric. I got some really cute strips of fabric on rolls from my grandma’s old stash and thought they’d make cute table runners or pillows. I’ll either just play with it and figure out the technique (I’m sure it isn’t too complicated) or see if I can find a tutorial online somewhere. Your tutorials are the best, so if you know what I’m describing, that would be awesome!
