This project is the most fun I’ve had working on a project for a while. Maybe because it’s for Halloween. Or maybe because it’s a little different than my norm. Or maybe because of my boys’ reactions when they saw the finished project. Whatever it was, I’ve had fun with this one. Here are a bunch of fun little Halloween Treat Buckets to fill with all sorts of fun, along with free printable Halloween gift tags for you to use:

Halloween Treat Buckets & Free Printable Halloween Gift Tags:
- Americana Multi Surface Satin Paint-It can paint on just about any surface, so it works perfectly on these tin buckets
- Tin buckets-You can get them at the dollar store or at a craft store
- Halloween Free Printable Gift Tags
- Twine or ribbon
- Cellophane Bags
These are fairly straight forward and easy to make. For the polkadot ones I had black buckets already so all I needed to do was add the dots. I used a paint dauber and dipped it in the colors of my choice and then dotted it onto the buckets. With a few of the dots I needed to add two coats:
With all of the other buckets I just painted them with the Americana Multi Surface Paint. I was amazed how easily it went on to the buckets. I did about 2-3 coats for each bucket.
To make the tags I used DecoArt’s newest stencils and also used the Multi Surface paint. I found it helpful to use a mostly dry brush. So scoop up some paint:
Then wipe a lot of the paint off:
And then I stenciled some pre-cut tags:
Then I just added some of these cut little free printable gift tags. Feel free to use them yourself for fun Halloween treat buckets or gifts:
