There’s something about those little Peeps Easter Candies that I just love. And it isn’t the taste. I just think they are so cute that every year I can’t resist buying some, even though I don’t want to eat them. This year though, I came up with a new idea. One my kids love almost as much as they love eating peeps. I made plush peeps. A perfect idea for your kids’ Easter baskets.

OK people you know the saying. March comes in like a…Lion Hooded Towel! Roar! Can you guess what it will go out like? (And plan on 2 more bonus towels during the month too.) (Hey-and be sure to enter to win a Silhouette Portrait right now too!)
I’m kind of loving how this lion turned out:
Owl Bookmark Printable
If there’s one thing I love about as much as crafting it’s reading. That and eating chocolate. (Reading and eating chocolate at the same time would be a double bonus.) But I never seem to have any bookmarks so I end up either sticking a stray piece of paper in my book or else I just prop the book open to the page I am on (which doesn’t work too well at all when a little toddler comes along). Do you have that problem? Today I give you an owl bookmark printable that you can use for your own reading habits. Or use them as party favors or book club favors (that would be cool!) or whatever.
25+ Things to Sew
With the end of the Learn to Sew series, I thought I would show off some of my very favorite sewing projects that I have done on my blog so far. Here’s a bunch of my favorite sewing projects just for fun. Happy sewing!

Free Printable Owl Baby Shower Invitations
Whoooooo loves owls like I do? My favorite baby hooded towel is still my owl and I just can’t stop wanting to make owl things. A couple of weeks ago I threw a baby shower for a friend and made adorable owl baby shower invitations for it. And then I figured, why not share these and let anyone use them? They are free to print. Plus, I’m including Bingo cards, address labels, cupcake toppers, stickers and advice cards. And they can be used for boy showers or girls showers. Have fun with them ok?
Free Printable Owl Baby Shower Invitations & Accessories:
Here’s a sample invitation. What you will need to do is save the invitations and then open them in a photo editing program and add your own text. The brown writing is in the font Appleberry and the green name is in the font Smell the Roses if you want to try to match what I did. Otherwise just pick some cute fonts.
Monster Hooded Towel Tutorial
They’re heeeere! They’re creepy and they’re cooky. I don’t know if I would call them spooky. But they’re pretty cute. It’s February’s hooded towel. Today I give you…a monster hooded towel tutorial! Not just one monster though. Today we’ve got 2:

I *Chews* You Valentine Idea & Printable
This is it. I promise. I think. My last Valentine project (though I do still have to put together the 4th grader’s Valentines tonight…you may see those tomorrow.) I know it’s too late for most of you to use these, but that’s ok, the idea will still be here next year. I love how they turned out. I “Chews” You Valentines with a free printable for you so you can make them too!
Learn to Sew #5: How to Sew Ruffles
When I was a little girl I didn’t want a thing to do with anything ruffly or anything pink. (I grew up with 4 brothers-there wasn’t much girlyness in my house.) I think those repressed feelings or my childhood are coming out now because these days I LOVE anything pink and these ruffles are fun. So, today, for Lesson #5 of our Learn to Sew series, let me teach you how to sew ruffles. Then you can add them to anything.
Our sponsor this week is Connect the Blocks. They are an online fabric store with high quality fabric and they offer a 40″ yard (that would be instead of the traditional 36″.) A lot of their fabrics are batiks and I know some of you are batik lovers out there. This week they are offering a Hex N More Ruler which will help you cut angles (especially for quilting) and a pattern of your choice that uses the ruler. (The options are Lotus, Science Fair or Northern Lights.) Enter this giveaway at the bottom of this lesson.
Now, let’s sew some ruffles!
