What’s the Project? These easy protein smoothie recipes are a perfect easy breakfast or after school snack that the kids will love! Only 3 ingredients needed, packed with fruit and protein, and they whip up in seconds.
It’s no secret around here that I love my treats and desserts. I love chocolate and I love sugar.
But I also love my body and have been making an effort lately to take good care of it with exercise and healthy foods. And my kids have also been wanting to make some changes for the better.
For breakfast sometimes we make one of these super easy protein smoothie recipes and the kids are really loving them. And it’s a great way to get some protein and vitamins in them.
And…the best part. Only 3 ingredients needed and you can mix and match all the flavors!
In fact, my 9-year-old and 17-year-old helped me put these smoothies together for this post. They love helping create new flavors! I think you’re going to love these easy smoothies too.
Easy Protein Smoothies That the Kids Will Love:
Each smoothie only needs 3 things:
- Greek Yogurt (I use the Triple Zero which has no added sugar)
- Vanilla Premiere Protein Shake
- Fruit
I prep the fruit ahead and freeze it. You can buy berries pre-frozen, I also get a bunch of bananas and slice them up and package them in baggies (about 2/3 banana per shake), cut up a pineapple, freeze orange slices, slice up peaches, or cut up a pineapple.
A few Protein smoothie making tips:
- I don’t freeze the yogurt, but you can. I’ve tried it and it works, it just didn’t make a big difference in the smoothie.
- I almost always include a banana because it helps the consistency, but you don’t have to. They all work without it.
- You can also throw in some spinach if you want to really up the health impact
You can mix and match any fruit flavors, but here are a few favorites of ours.

Please tell Adam that I will be trying his smoothie flavors first.
By the way, my first time on your site, I made the cell phone case. It was very easy to make, but mine is huge. Not sure what I did wrong :-). Thank you for the very simple and easy to follow directions.
