One of my good friends had a birthday last week and I wanted to do something special for her to celebrate the big day. She’s thoughtful and kind and deserves to be spoiled, plus January is such a gloomy month that it feels like someone with a January birthday deserves extra spoiling!

I was brainstorming what would be fun to give her and thinking about doing a color-themed gift basket (because I love doing those for people) and thinking about what color seemed fitting for her and gold is what came to mind.

I had so much fun putting together this golden birthday gift basket and it was so easy to find cute gold items to put in it!

I added a touch of black to accent the gold and it came out so nice and elegant and fun at the same time!

This would also make a great gift for someone who is celebrating their “golden birthday.” A golden birthday is when the date of your birthday is the same as the year you are turning. So for example, my birthday is March 23 so my golden birthday was when I turned 23.
