What’s the Project? What’s better for Christmas than a tree with DIY Christmas ornaments hanging from it? They make great gifts or great keepsakes, plus they are fun to make for the holiday season. Here are 25 great handmade ornaments to make this year.

I am so excited to decorate for Christmas! I am usually a wait till after Thanksgiving girl, but I am getting ready and getting excited. What about you? When do you like to decorate and put up your tree?

I have to admit I actually have two Christmas trees now and I love it. One is my tree and I get to decorate it how I want and make it beautiful. And one is the kid’s tree and they get to put their own ornaments all over it and take a walk down memory lane as they do it.

Christmas ornaments are a fun and special tradition in our family. Each year I give my boys a new ornament symbolizing something from their year. It’s so much fun to pull them out year after year and remember.

Another fun tradition can be making ornaments. Have you tried that? These DIY Christmas ornaments are going to look great on your tree plus be fun to make!

Thank you for this! I too make/buy an ornament with/for the kids to symbolize something from each year. This is the first year they will both be old enough to make their own!

My favorite handmade ornament is the Star of David “stained glass” paper ornament my daughter made in preschool. After years of buying tree-toppers that wouldn’t stand upright no matter what I did, I gave up and hung the Star at the top of the tree. Problem solved and a recognition of the holiday traditions of others all rolled into one!
