What’s the Project? This cute Valentine’s wreath is a big twist on the classic….it’s made of candy! Nothing says “Happy Valentine’s Day” like chocolate and candy, and this wreath is a fun and creative Valentine’s Day gift idea that is great for kids or your partner!

A few years back I did a Candy Birthday Wreath and it’s been a huge hit! It’s a simple, fun way to celebrate someone’s special day.

So, when one of my readers suggested a Valentine’s Candy Wreath I knew that was going on my to-do list! And I made it two days later! So easy, so fun and a perfect gift for anyone on Valentine’s Day!

Hang it from a kid’s door, your sweetheart’s, take it to a teacher or friend!

Valentine's Wreath made from candy-This is a fun way to tell someone Happy Valentine's Day! A wreath made entirely of candy. Great for kids or your partner for Valentine's Day. #valentinesday #valentines #valentinesforhim #valentinesforher #valentinesforkids

Very fun and festive right? And seriously, what is it with Valentine’s colors and candy and crafts that makes me so happy? I just love it!

OK, want to make this for someone? Here’s how.

Candy Valentine’s Wreath:

Supplies Needed:

  • Wreath From (I used a heart, but if you can’t find that a circle will still be fun!)
  • Curling ribbon
  • Candy (get a variety of sizes so that you can overlap-you for sure want some small stuff to fill in the gaps)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pins (try to get short ones with no head on them-NOT like mine. They weren’t the best. You want them to be shorter than your wreath form is wide.)
  • Scissors
  • Bow (make your own or buy one)

Wreath Making Supplies

OK, grab your curling ribbon and curl some. Snip it into short little sections and pin them all over the wreath:

Then get your hot glue gun and glue candy all around. Try to overlap so that the wreath form doesn’t show through. Also, be careful that your glue isn’t TOO hot or it will melt the candy. I heated up my glue gun then unplugged it and let it cool for one or two minutes and then used it.

Last, just glue your bow right at the top.

If you want to hang this, pin a piece of ribbon in a loop on the back and you are all set!

Who will you give this Valentine’s wreath to?

This a really great idea. One of my students found your heart shape candy idea we would like to do something similar for a fundraiser at our school for Valentine’s day. I would like to know what size is your heart wreath. Thank you for the great idea.

I’m not sure! Sorry. I don’t have it anymore, but I got it at Hobby Lobby.

Very cute idea – just wondering if you left the wreath white or if you covered it some way?

I left it white but you could cover it with ribbon if you prefer.
