What’s the Project? If you love Rice Krispie Treats or Butterfingers, this Easter dessert is going to be your new favorite thing! The perfect combination of the two in a cute little egg form! They are so yummy and they look so cute!
Do you ever have one of those times when you find something new and exciting that you never expected and it just makes the world a little bit happier? That’s how I feel about the new Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Minis and Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Smooth and Crunchy Eggs! Have you had them? They’re a soft and creamy version of a Butterfinger and have little bits of the crunchy original Butterfinger in it too. Perfection. I took one bite and fell in love, so this week I took them and put them into a Rice Krispie treat and gave it an Easter twist to make Butterfinger Krispie Treat Eggs.
And I’ll just tell you now that they are GOOD! Really soft and chewy and that perfect Butterfinger taste mixed in.
And, just like a normal Rice Krispie treat, they are quick and easy to make!
Or, want a non-Easter version, just make them in squares, same great taste but perfect for year round.
Butterfinger Krispie Treats Recipe:
Supplies Needed:
- 3-4 Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Smooth and Crunchy Eggs OR 1 10.5 oz package of Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Wrapped Minis (Contains no artificial flavors or colors. Colors added from natural sources)
- 6 C Rice Krispies
- 10 oz marshmallows
- 3 Tbsp butter
- Plastic Easter Egg (if doing egg shaped)
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Melting chocolate (optional)
Instructions:
Grab your Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Wrapped Minis:
Unwrap them:
Chop them up:
Put your marshmallows and butter in a large, microwaveable bowl. Cook for about 1 minute, stir and cook a little more until both the marshmallows and the butter are melted.
Pour in 6 cups of Rice Krispies and your chopped Butterfingers.
Stir quickly while it is still warm:
Now, grease your hands and grease the inside of the plastic egg.
Grab some of the rice krispie treats and squish it into the egg. You’ll want to use enough that you have to push it in fairly tight, not too loose.
Pop it out:
And then melt some chocolate and drizzle and add sprinkles:
