My boys are obsessed with Legos. (What little boys aren’t really?) But their love of Legos changes (I think that the Lego company plans on that.) For a while it was Lego Atlantis, then Lego Star Wars, now they love Hero Factory.
But for a while they LOVED Lego Ninjago. When my 4 year old had his last birthday we did a Ninjago theme. We didn’t have a party, but for the few simple things I did, it was Ninjago. So today I am sharing a few simple Ninjago birthday party ideas with you.
For preschool he took cupcakes. I decided to keep it simple, so I just made cupcakes, put swirly frosting on it (in blue because Jay is his favorite Ninja) and added a cupcake topper that I created:
And the back of the cupcake topper:
To make those cupcake toppers I just searched the internet for some Ninjago pictures, printed them out, punched them out in circles and glued them to a popsicle stick.
For his cake, I had a GREAT idea! Alas, my fondant skills are a little lacking, so it didn’t turn out quite like I dreamed. He still thought it was cool and that’s what counts, but it wasn’t a real beauty.
This is the idea I had:
Mine just didn’t look that great. This one is from Pint Sized Baker and she has great instructions on how to make it. Isn’t it amazing!?
Another present, and the one he was most excited about and talking about wanting for weeks in advance? What he calls his “Jays:”
This is supposed to be the dragon suit that Jay wears:
I just bought a blue sweatsuit and then cut out a dragon face that looked as close as possible to that one and ironed it on. I also sewed around the edges. It wasn’t the sturdiest costume but he still loves it!
We didn’t do any games, but here are a couple of great Ninja game ideas if you are needing some:
Roe and Lee has this fun one that boys will LOVE!
And how about pin the mask on the Ninja?
From Spaceships and Laser Beams (cool name!) check this Ninja game out.
Got a Lego lover? You need to see this Lego birthday party too!
