If there’s one thing you learn when you sew all the time, it’s that you need a seam ripper (or two or three) and it needs to be close by at all times. Mistake definitely happen, no matter how seasoned you are, but the beauty of sewing is that  you can always pick it out with the seam ripper. (See my sewing pledge for how I really feel about sewing.)

Oh I definitely needed this reminder when I was sewing last night. Not a good sewing night. Seam ripper very much needed.

In light of that, I’ve created a Keep Calm printable for sewers:

Keep Calm and Grab the Seam Ripper Printable

I decided to make it in a bunch of colors for you-red, black, gray, pink, purple, lavendar-so take your pick!

To print these, click on the image to open it in a new window. Then enlarge it to 100% and right click to save.

Is there any time during a project that I DON’T use a seam ripper. Would be a lot easier to track! LOL.

I have multiple seam rippers scattered about so I always one close by! Can you do the printable in yellow? I’d love to frame it and put it in my sewing nook!

I use the seam ripper much more than I want to! Very cute printable. There’s a spot right over my sewing table for it.

Thanks so much for this; my niece just started sewing and I’m sure she’ll appreciate this. I’m going to cut it out on vinyl and frame it for her.

I love it! Thank you for sharing. This is the story of my life. I was telling my friend that my sewing is 40% ironing, 30% unpicking seams, 20% pinning, and only 10% actual sewing. Haha. Thanks for sharing!

Too funny! Love it… I am terrified of sewing, it is a skill that somehow skipped me which is a shame because my mother was so gifted.
I found you through the Whipperberry Friday Flair Link Party where I am also partying, would love it if you’d stop by too, I have a “keep calm and teach on” project you may like.
    Hugs, antonella :-)

Seam ripper, tiny embroidery needles, and even razor blades (the kind for box cutters), all wonderful deconstructing tools. I’ve been sewing almost my whole life, and the two most important things besides the sewing machine is an arsenal of ripping tools and an iron. NOTE: If the razor blade option is chosen, BE VERY, VERY careful and don’t use around children.

Found you via Pinterest… I love this, the blue is going on the wall as I feel like I use the seam ripper more than the sewing machine! Am bookmarking your blog as I love the way you write, with equal doses of humour and honesty ;-)
