Homemade Hot Fudge Recipe

  1. Melt the chocolate in a large, heavy pan on low heat.
  2. Stir in the sugar and the milk.
  3. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly for about 20 minutes. It will start to boil around the 7-8 minute mark.
  4. Keep cooking until it is the thickness you want (remembering that it will be thicker when it hits the cold ice cream).
  5. Add vanilla and stick of butter/margarine.
  6. Serve over ice cream. Or, do what my husband does and eat it by the spoonful.
  7. It freezes well too so you can just it later.
