It’s no secret that I am a sucker for chocolate, so I’ve got to tell you that making this recipe while no one else was home yesterday might have been a bad idea. I ate a lot of them myself.
They’re little, they’re bite size and it’s easy to eat them at a rapid pace. When they’re hot they are gooey and chocolatey and just. so. good. Are you ready for this? Deep Fried Snickers Bites:

Yes, the are that good. (Everything deep fried is isn’t it?)
When my brothers get together for their weekly Game Day tailgating parties they do a lot of deep frying. They deep fry everything. Deep fried chocolate is what I like.
Want to make these little guys for your next party? They’re easy! And they are perfect little finger foods that your guests will love!
Deep Fried Snickers Bites Recipe:
Ingredients:
- Snickers Bites (here’s a coupon too! The coupon value doubles when you share it on facebook or twitter or email it to 3 friends, so share away!)
- Wonton Wrappers (You’ll find these in the refrigerated section of the store. I got mine at Walmart in the deli section near the lettuce)
- Vegetable oil
- Paper towels (for draining the bites after frying)
Instructions:
Open your wonton wrappers and lay a Snickers Bite right in the center of one:
Now you are going to fold in all 4 sides. You will want a bowl of water handy to do this:
Fold in the first side:
Then, dip your finger in the water and dab a little on the top of the corner you just folded in:
And then bring the opposite corner in to meet it:
Do the same thing with the remaining two sides, making sure to use the water on each corner. The water helps keep it in place when frying.
Pour your oil (several cups) into a small pot and warm it on the stove to medium heat. Drop the wrapped Snickers bites in. You want them to cook in about 1 minute to a light brown color. If they are cooking faster than that, your oil is too hot. Cool it down. They need long enough in the oil to get warm all the way through without burning. (I use tongs for all of this.)
When they are a light brown color, remove them from the oil and lay them on a plate with paper towels on it to drain them.
Eat them within about 10 minutes of cooking them so that they are still hot and gooey. They can also be microwaved for about 8-10 seconds to warm them back up too.
Ready to make these? You’ll thank me when you do!
Get your Snickers bites with a coupon now! (You can also get Milky Way bites which could also most definitely be deep fried!) Remember, if you share this coupon on facebook or twitter or email it to 3 friends, the value doubles!
Oh…one more thing. If this isn’t enough chocolate for you, dip them in more. Hot fudge or chocolate sauce works great!
When you throw your next tailgating party for the big game day, deep fry some Snickers Bites and invite me over?
