OK, this is it! This is the last week of the 2016 Learn to Sew series. We’ve learned to sew straight lines and to sew with a zig zag stitch. We’ve used elastic and braved the zipper. We’ve sewn projects of all varieties. Hopefully you are feeling much more confident about your sewing now! For this last week, I want you to pick something really fun, something that will challenge you, and sew it up!
The best news of the week is that my FAVORITE fabric store is sponsoring our giveaway again this week! In case you missed it last week, meet Stitch Stash Diva:
I love this fabric store! I bought a bunch of fabric here over Christmas for various projects. Seriously, hundreds of fabrics to browse through.
And when I order it it literally shows up at my door within days. Like a lot of times for me it’s there in 2 days! Blows my mind every time. Check it out!
Two lucky winners this week will win $25 gift cards to the shop and one more lucky winner will win a fat quarter pack!
There are still a few more lessons for your to accomplish. But I decided that it made sense to combine them into one week of the series because they are skills that are more specific and some may be more important to you than others.
So, we’ve got a lesson on how to sew ruffles:
And a lesson on how to sew buttonholes and how to appliqué:
If you have a need for those two skills, try those lessons!
Also, if you are hungry for more, check out the second part of this series:
I’m giving you two weeks this time to sew up your project and enter the giveaway. I want you to pick something that will challenge you and will incorporate some of the new skills that you have learned this time around. It can be anything you want!
