This is a perfect project for little girls…if you have little girls! I had to borrow one just to take the pictures (and isn’t she cute!). None of my boys wanted to model these princess crowns and wands-weird? They are easy to make little DIY princess crown templates and wands. Perfect craft for little girls.
This is an easy to make princess crown template and wand template. You can make them shiny and fancy like I did with MINC foil application machine. Don’t have a MINC (get one!), you can simply use this as a template and cut your own out of card stock and then embellish them with beads, glitter and stickers.
Easy DIY Princess Crowns and Wands:
- Princess Crown Template
- Wand Template
- MINC foil applicator
- MINC foil in bright colors
- Embellishments-beads, glitter, glue, stickers
Print out the crown template and wand templates on card stock. If you are going to apply foil to these, you need to print them with a laser printer. The better the quality of print that you can get, the better this will turn out. I tried a new copy center this time to get mine printed (instead of FedEx Office) and it worked WAY better!
Cut out your pieces.
Let’s make the crown:
Choose your foil color and cut a piece that is just slightly larger than the card stock. Place the foil with the shiny side facing up and the laser printed template facing up below it. Slip it into the plastic sleeve and feed it through your MINC machine on heat setting 3.
Peel off the extra foil (and gasp in shock!). This seriously amazes me every time I do it.
Now, let your little princesses decorate their crowns with your fun embellishments.
When you are ready to put the crowns on, add a strip of card stock and staple it in place. (Mine was about 10 inches long.)
How about making a wand?
Do the same thing that you did with the crown. Then, add jewels or whatever you want to the front. Take some ribbon (I used curling ribbon) and a straw and tape them in place on the back. And you’re set!
