I’ve been trying to deny it for a while now, but I know it can’t be denied much longer. Back to school is coming. My kids start in less than 2 weeks. Wah! That makes me want to cry. I love summer and this one went by WAY too fast. Sigh.
But, if we’ve got to go back to school at least we can make it fun right? I’ve joined with a bunch of other bloggers to come up with some fun back to school ideas involving…chalkboard paint!
Here’s my project. It’s a lunch box with chalkboard paint inside to create your own little spot to leave notes for your kiddo. Fun right? I wasn’t sure if this project idea would work out, so I was thrilled when it did!
It’s pretty quick and easy and turns out GREAT!
Make a Lunch Box with Chalkboard:
- Lunch Box (I used a soft one and it worked great. I think it would be really cute on tin ones too.)
- Americana Chalkboard Paint
- Foam Brush
This is so quick and easy. All you need to do is get your lunch box:
And some of the chalkboard paint and paint it on. I did about 3 coats:
And then write on it!
**One note: This chalkboard paint isn’t “food safe” so you would want to make sure that your food was in packaging and didn’t come directly into contact with it.
