“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Bomb Pop. I received product samples, a party kit, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
A friend yesterday said she is ready for Fall to get here! GASP! Now I love Fall as much as the next guy, I really do, but I am in no hurry for summer to end. I LOVE summer!
One of my favorite things to do during the summer is to sit on the front porch in the afternoons with my 4 boys and eat ice pops and talk. It’s a tradition we’ve enjoyed for years and this summer is no different.
Another thing I love to do during summer is have friends over to play. This week we combined my two loves and had a Bomb Pop party! You know what Bomb Pops are right? They’re those fun Red, White and Blue ice pops. You know the ones I mean:
Oh ya. Those ones. Love ’em.
Anyway, we had some friends over for a really fun party. We ate dinner in the backyard then played our own version of baseball.
Throw the beanbags through the “bases” on this board and then run to whichever base you got.
The clincher though was that the bases were buckets filled with water:
And the run from third base to home plate was a Slip ‘N’ Slide.
The kids loved this party! I couldn’t believe how much fun they had with this! This picture is proof (did I mention that all 7 of the kids at the party were little boys?):
We even got the dads involved:
Tons of fun!
Then we ended the evening with a whole bunch of Bomb Pops. These were also a hit!
We’d had the traditional Red, White and Blue ones before, but the Hawaiian Punch ones were new to us (and very well loved). We also tried the new sour ones:
A Bomb Pop Party was a great way to celebrate summer!
Want to try this party too?
Bomb Pop Party Supplies:
Make yourself a Bean Bag toss like ours with 4 holes-one for each base. 1st base is the largest and they get progressively smaller. You can just make it out of cardboard if needed.
Bean Bags (Ours were baseball bean bags but you can use any kind. Or balls.)
Bomb Pops (You can get these at any store that sells ice pops. I recommend trying the Hawaiian Punch flavor too!)
Set up the game with any large buckets or bowls of water. Use a Slip ‘N’ Slide if you’ve got one and then go crazy! We didn’t bother keeping score or even having teams. It was just fun to run through the water and have fun.
Happy Bomb Pop Party!
