When I attended a blogging conference back in April I met Angelina from JoJo and Eloise. Do you guys know her? I don’t know how I had missed her blog before, but it’s AMAZING and everyone I talked to at the blogging conference kept saying “Oh, there’s Angelina from JoJo and Eloise-she’s so great-she’s so amazing-she’s so fantastic!” And when I met her I had to agree-so friendly, fun, sweet and TALENTED! She told me she was starting a new blog, Sew Crafty Kids and I loved the idea instantly. Her cute kids do this blog and all the tutorials on it. And today they want to share one with you so that you too can get hooked on their blog and start reading it everyday! Here they are with a very fun tutorial:
Hello Crazy Little Project Readers and Friends.
It’s a place that is going to be chalk FULL of Kid friendly VIDEO tutorials, crafting, sewing, product reviews and much, much more. We would love to have you journey along with us on our Crafty Adventures.
Summer is in full swing and for some of you those Crafting ideas may be getting harder and harder to think up.
Keeping energetic kids busy can prove to be a challenge at times.
We have found that building a Inspiration Binder is a fun Craft, but also a great resource to have on hand.
You can put pictures of Ideas, from magazines or catalogs. You can also draw and write up your own crafting plans and supply list, to use at a later date.
So when that day arrives and you find yourself bored and in need of something to do, you can refer to your Inspiration Binder.
Be sure to keep any supplies needed on hand.
Beads are one thing we always have plenty of around our house. And this day we were thankful for that.
One of the projects in our Inspiration Binder was Beaded Shirts.
We have been wanting to make them and this day was perfect, we didn’t have any plans and it was way to hot to go outside. So this made the perfect craft.
We used a water soluble pencil and measured 1 in strips, along the bottom of our shirts. You can make them as LONG or SHORT as you like.
(ours were 1″ wide by 3″ high)
Using some scissors we carefully cut our strips.
Once are strips were cut, we took are beads and pulled the strips through. We used 2 beads for each strip. You can use as many as you want.
When you are done placing your beads on each strip, tie an knot at the end to secure the beads.
These were not only super FUN to make they are also super FUN to wear.
We LOVE hearing them Jingle while walking and twirling in them is even better.
They hold up great in the washing machine. Just be sure to wash it on a GENTLE cycle.
Thank you so much for having us Amber for having us, it has been FUN!!
