In the next 24 hours I might just give new meaning to the *crazy* in Crazy Little Projects. I thought I was done with my Valentine’s crafting. Apparently I am not. I just can’t stop. And since Valentine’s is just 2 days away, I guess I’ll just pack in a bunch of posts to show you what I am up to. Don’t have time to do them this year? That’s ok, pin them for next year.
Today I taught preschool at my house with a Heart theme. For snack time I made these quick and easy Valentine treats for the kids. They loved them (and yes, I realize that isn’t the healthiest of snack time options, but hey, it’s a holiday!) They are Cherry Chip Brownie Bars cut into heart shapes.
Cherry Chip Valentine Treats for Kids:
- 1 Cherry Chip Cake Mix
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ C vegetable oil
- Mix the ingredients together
- Grease a 9″ x 13″ pan
- Press the dough into the pan (it will be about the consistency of cookie dough)
- Bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees
Once you have them baked, let them cool for a few minutes. Then use a cookie cutter to cut out the heart shapes. Frost them with pink frosting, throw on some sprinkles and you’ve got a party!

These look so delicious! Love the fact that they’re so simple!
I’d be tickled if you’d link up at this week’s Off the Hook!
