Happy Birthday to Me!

A List of Places to get Free Lunch for your Birthday by CrazyLittleProjects.com #birthday #freebies

It’s my birthday today! I love birthdays! And I don’t believe in just celebrating the day of…more like the whole week, or even the whole month!

Now, whoever said “there is no such thing as a free lunch” certainly wasn’t taking full advantage of his birthday. Because you know what? This week I had free lunch. And ice cream. Several times.

So here’s the deal. There are LOTS of places that do birthday freebies. You sign up for their email list (I use a junk mail account that I only check around my birthday each year) and around your birthday they send you a coupon for free stuff.

My friends are always asking me about where I get my birthday freebies, so I am compiling a list of the best, most reliable ones. There are more comprehensive lists out there, but this list includes only the best of the best. These are the tried and true coupons that I know you will actually receive and that are worth the effort.

Most of these you can use for at least a week either before or after your birthday. Some for even the whole month.

Birthday Freebies: Place to Get Free Lunch for your Birthday

Red Robin: Get a Red Royalty card and in the month of your birthday you get a free burger (or sandwich). You can get a Red Royalty card by going in OR you can sign up for their eclub and get emailed a coupon for a free burger but it will be for a week or two around your bday, not the whole month.

Noodles and Company: Sign up for their Noodle Gram and get a Free bowl of noodles with your choice of meat and sign too!

Rubio’s: Sign up for their Beach Club and you get $7 worth of free food for your birthday

Benihana: This might be my very favorite one. Sign up for Chef’s Table and get $30 worth of food for your birthday. Yes, $30. If you go at lunch they talk you into ordering off the dinner menu so you don’t “lose money!” My free meal there this year included salad, soup, drink, fried rice, veggies, shrimp, chicken and beef. Oh and ice cream. This one will come the first day of the month and is good Monday through Thursday for the whole month, SO if you have a birthday month buddy, go together! Just remember on this one by the time you tip on a $30 meal, it isn’t quite free.

Jason’s Deli: $5 of free food.

IHOP: Free breakfast! This one is specific to location so make sure to pick your location accurately.

Firehouse Subs: For this one you just show up on your birthday with your id and you get a free sub.

Tucanos and Rodizio: Free meal, BUT it’s buy one get one free.

Daphne’s Greek Cafe: I think this one is just for California residents. Free meal!

Fuddrucker’s: Bummer, Fuddy’s closed where I live, so I can’t use this one, but they give you a free burger.

Flat Top Grill: Oh man I wish there was a Flat Top Grill near me! They do a free meal.

Cold Stone, Baskin Robbins, Maggie Moo, TCBY and Marble Slab all do free ice cream

Culver’s also does free custard

For Kids:

Barnes and Noble: Join the kid’s club and get a free muffin or cookie.

CPK: Kid’s get a free meal during their birthday month.

Like I said, these aren’t all the options, but they are the ones that are the best in my opinion. If anyone knows of other great ones, let me know. For a very comprehensive list go here

Amber, I just signed up for a bunch of these since my birthday is coming up in a few weeks. The Benihana email I got said it’s only good after you buy an entrée. So it’s kind of like Tucanos, right? Sort of a buy one get one free deal?
